Mark’s Transformation: A radically different and better way to do financial services.
In 1999, The Mark of Mastery™ creator and founder Mark Little realized that, after 15 years slowly building his business, he was spread too thin to ever serve his 1,242 clients properly (despite working 80+ hours/week). His so-called success had become a miserable, unrewarding job — so he discarded it all and he started over.
But this time he did nearly the opposite of everything the industry had taught him to do… and the results were amazing!
He began disengaging from all of his clients, except for 17 who fit his personal criteria of an “ideal” client. By crafting an extraordinary client experience, he added 83 new ideal clients — all in under 3 years.
His work schedule dropped to 36 hours per week, he took regular vacations and his annual revenues soared from $388,000 (transactional) to $1.6 million (recurring). Potential Ideal Clients in his community knew he was the one to see about financial services.
By 2007, he had each Ideal Client’s financial house in perfect order and every client on-track to achieving their financial goals, so he sold the business (for several million). In 2008, he began sharing his system with other Financial Advisors.
